this was truly stunning work, especially for a first time visual novel but also in general! i was really blown away by your use of a lot of the art assets, and the way that everything had a form of movement and noise to it really added to this bleak dreamlike atmosphere. everything felt super cohesive and i cannot wait to see what else you get up to in the dev sphere!

Thank you so much!! I'm absolutely overjoyed that you enjoyed it and that my intentions for the art came across so well!! I'm looking forward to throwing my hat in the ring time and time again, so thank you so much for your encouragement!!!

i think its rly impressive for someones first vn to be presented like this!! i think thats what i liked most :3 the way the text is formatted + some of the cool bg shader stuff was fun, felt very minimalist but also noisy at points, which i think played with the story well. it was also cool to see the characters from time to time, but not in a traditional way like with sprites, i think it gave a lot more character to them that way. good work ^w^

Thank you so so so much!! I'm glad that my debut is an impressive one, and I hope to keep on honing and refining my craft as I go, pushing my skills as much as possible. The project had a lot of firsts for me, and I think I pin a lot of my creative decision influences on the early days of visual novels, especially sound novels! thank you so much again for your positive feedback!!!!!

congrats on the first visual novel! the art gallery, even!

i really really really love the different ways the dreams are portrayed and the way the pixels and sounds shift between each scene and fall away as the story progresses. and the text is also amazing. hope the paw heals quickly!

Thank you so much!! I always try to have a really clear creative vision for the whole work going in to anything, and attempt to hone what my paws can make with the materials I have until the work matches the vision... I'm happy to hear this vision is so well received!! thank you!! it's much better already, but I'm being gentle with it for a biiiit longer, on girlfriend's orders ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

A fantastic story, with fittingly ephemeral music and sounds.

Really love the way the jumps in the narrative feel like intentional blocks of time and information missing. Lots to chew on with just enough uncertain answers to let it linger on the mind.

Good job! Rest those paws!

Thank you so much!! I worked really hard for my like, debut on soundscape design and music as i'm not really producer much!! I think, in spite of any inexperience, I made something that fit within my vision, and that was my solitary goal. I'm glad you have much to chew on in my story~ I hope to continue making very chewable stories into the future!! thank you,, resting them SO well rn ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

An excellent debut from an excellent author. Evocative in all of its qualities: Prose that paints a picture and art that calls emotion. Every part of the novel is woven into itself like an infinite knot. As if this wasn't enough, the succinct emotions conjured are further compounded with a soundscape that aligns well with the moments throughout. The tense, distorted droning; the almost crowd-like and ghostly erratic sounds of being in public; the blasting sound of distant, unintelligible voices; the sudden pang of violence; the rhythmic sense of comfort in our dreams. The characters, I found engaging from the two(if even) seen primarily throughout the story to the ones that tower over it as ghastly haunts.

It made me cry at least twice. A third time after I had considered the entirety of it and once more here-- Though admittedly, at this point I am just happy that my friend made something that I can celebrate like this.

Well done, ashe! And to anyone reading this, please read ashe's work instead, you'll not regret it!

Goodness! Excellent?!? I'm so so very touched by this praise. I really really enjoyed my work on the larger soundscapes in particular, chopping them and getting them to have that like, rhythmic pulsing... I felt like that's what dreams are like, yknow? I'm sorry for making you cry, but it was also kind of almost my goal... so you're welcome for crying!! thank you thank you

gods... this is beautiful and tragic. the pictures conjured through words mesh so well with the lovingly crafted images. the thoughts of "oh my gosh they're so cute together" slowly turning into audible "oh no oh no oh no". the twisting felt somewhere within my very existence as I continued...

you did so good ashe. seriously

Thank you so much!! I'm really glad that "oncoming trainwreck" feeling hit so well, in doing a test reading with my dear bestie hearing it say "I'M SCARED!!! ashe what are you going to do!!" after we see how cute our nocturnal interlocutor is... it was invigorating!! I'm really glad I did so well as to conjure that feeling, thank you so so much!!!
